Moa is educated in photojournalism at Nordens Fotoskola, and currently working on freelance basis in Stockholm. She is taking assignments from major newspapers and magazines such as Dagens Nyheter, Göteborgs-Posten, Magasinet Filter and Vagabond, and is also working on her own, long-term projects. Some of her focus has been on womens issues, for example teenage mothers in the USA, polygamy in Senegal and sex trafficking in Europe. In 2006 she was one of the Scanpix photo prize nominees for her story on trafficking.
