The closest to heaven...
2011-07-01–2011-08-02Herräng Dance Camp started as a small gathering of enthusiasts in 1982. Since then it has grown to the worlds largest swing dance festival, and made Sweden a modern hotspot within the field. Dancers from all over the world come to take classes, dance all night, play jazz and dress up like in the American 1920-40s. The small, normally quiet village turns into a bursting nostalgic escape. To quote Ms Dawn Hampton, swing dance veteran born in 1928: ”Herräng is the closest to heaven you will ever get.”
